Who are we?

The Association of Jewellery Appraisers is a non-profit making organisation that is governed by a volunteer team of elected Professional Jewellery Appraisers, all of whom are experienced Certified Appraisers.

As we are not required to maintain membership levels we can "afford" to set membership requirements extremely high and robustly enforce our Code of Ethics, Disciplinary Procedure and Expulsion Procedure.

Our Aims and Objectives

The principal objectives of the AJA are:-

• To raise the profile and exposure of truly professional jewellery appraisers.

• To provide the general public and the Retail Jeweller with a source of jewellery appraisers whose standards of accuracy, attention to detail, presentation, ethics and integrity are exemplary.

• To promote professionalism amongst our members and the jewellery appraisal industry as a whole.
